Do you want to start a private SLP practice but aren't sure where to begin?
This course was created to guide SLPs through the process of starting a private speech therapy practice. Featuring how to set up a business structure, marketing strategies, and HIPAA compliance guidelines, this course will cover all the essentials to begin your private practice journey.

Presenter: Jill Shook, Speech-language pathologist and private practice owner
Relevant Financial Relationship: Jill is the owner of Jill Shook Therapy LLC, which includes Jill Shook SLP (TPT resources), & Private Practice SLP (private practice resources). Jill is a member of ASHA and the Pennsylvania Speech and Hearing Association (PSHA), as well as the upcoming chair of the PSHA Private Practice committee.
Presenter Biography: Jill Shook has been a speech-language pathologist since 2011 and a private practice owner since 2015. She has extensive training in orofacial myofunctional disorders and AAC, and has presented on the topics of EBP and starting a private practice since 2018. She provides consultations through her Private Practice SLP website.
