MDR Compliance

Our guiding principles help lead us in everything we do. In 2021, AbleNet became the first assistive technology supplier to achieve compliance with Europe’s Medical Device Regulation (MDR).

MDR requires companies to register themselves and their products in the EUDAMED database. The EUDAMED database gives you access to key compliance information for companies and the products they distribute in Europe. If a company or product are not in EUDAMED, it is likely they are not currently compliant with MDR..

To verify a Company:

1. Visit the EUDAMED database.
2. In the top menu, click on Actors.
3. Select Economic Operators.
4. Enter the company name into the Name or abbreviated name field.

To verify a Specific Device:

1. Visit the EUDAMED database.
2. In the top menu, click on Devices/SPPs.
3. Enter a company name into the Manufacturer/Producer name field.

Discontinued Products

As we continue to refine our product portfolio, we are committed to communicating our decisions regarding product sunsets at the earliest possible opportunity. Products become obsolete for a variety of reasons: changes in consumer technology, a surplus of consumer options, and constant change in models and design.
