Presenter Biography: Tamara Jacobson has over 30 years of experience advocating for children in the United States. After spending two decades as a K-12 educator, Tamara joined Total Training Solutions as an Educational Consultant. She is the founder of an online forum, Ask the Educators and the executive director of East Coast Educational Consulting. She has conducted hundreds of workshops for teachers, therapists, administrators, and organizations on 21st century topics. Tamara is the mother of three daughters, one of whom lives with severe physical and cognitive developmental delays. Her daughter inspires her daily to make a difference in the educational landscape of practice. Tamara holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Administration & Supervision. Currently, she is a EdD Doctoral Candidate in Learning & Organizational Change at National University. Tamara has authored two books on special education: A Different Kind of Wonderful (2012) and Navigating Special Education (2023).
